Our office follows guidance from the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, the CDC and the ADA to ensure patient safety during your visit.

All patients coming in for an appointment need to complete a COVID-19 pre-screening form

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last year. We want to thank you for your patience and to update you with some of the additional measures we have implemented. While some things have changed, one thing has remained the same since our office opened in 1986: Eagan Family Dentistry’s commitment to your safety, comfort, and oral health.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice, and you may have seen this during your visits to Eagan Family Dentistry. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Eagan Family Dentistry follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up to date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and team. For example:

  • Our office will communicate with you before your appointment to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  • Please call us from your car when you arrive for your appointment. We will check you in and call or text you when we are ready for you to enter the office.
  • We ask that only the patient enter the office. Exceptions will be made for young children or those adults requiring assistance.
  • Hand sanitizer is required to use as you enter and leave the office.
  • We ask that you wear a mask or face covering when you come for your appointment. Due to limited mask supply, we are only able to stock enough masks for our team. Please bring your own face covering.
  • You may see that in the meantime, our reception area will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.
  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, and to reduce the number of patients in the office at any one time.
  • We will provide all of our patients with a Hydrogen Peroxide pre-rinse before we begin dental treatment or dental cleanings.
  • The team at Eagan Family Dentistry also monitors our own health and follows guidelines from the CDC, MDH and ADA. We look forward to seeing your smiles again!.
